US Speedskating

As the National Governing body for the sport, US Speedskating is responsible for the conduct and administration of speedskating in the United States. In this capacity, US Speedskating determines the rules, implements the polices and procedures, conducts the National Championships, disseminates safety and sports medicine information and selects athletes to represent the United States in international competition.

Speedskating here at the Koeppel Community Sports Center

The Koeppel Community Sports Center (KCSC), or the Koeppel Center, here at Trinity College in Hartford, is dedicated to these same ideals and principles as US Speedskating, but is concentrating itself more on the “grassroots” development of our surrounding city and suburban children within our local community.  While the US Speedskating path serves as the official course for possible placement on national teams for competition, we are looking to give our area residents the opportunity to experience the non-traditional sport of short track in a friendly and fun environment..

From our Learn to Skate Program to club practice and races, we’re looking to watch you skate fast!

In the future, we look to build on these programs and reach more children and adults. If you have interest, or can help us reach more children, please contact us for any information, pricing, or to set-up a meeting.
